1. Information We Collect
This policy covers both this website and the GliderOps club management platform. On this website, the only personal information you give us directly is what you type into the contact or demo request form — there are no accounts, logins, or payments here. Our analytics, described below, also collect some information automatically as you browse.
Across GliderOps as a whole, we collect:
- Contact form submissions and demo requests (name, email address, club name, club size, and where you provide them, phone number and message)
- Account information for platform users (name, email address, club affiliation)
- Usage data and interaction with our platform
- Payment information processed securely through our payment providers
This website also uses two analytics services. Umami counts visits without cookies and collects no personally identifiable information. Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use our pages, with cookies; section 4 explains what it collects, who controls that data and how to turn it off, and our Cookie Policy lists each cookie.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Process transactions and send related information
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests
- Send product updates and marketing communications (with your consent)
- Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities
3. Data Security
Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is scoped by role, so a member cannot read the billing ledger, and every record carries an audit trail of who changed it and when. Backups run automatically. If you need specifics for a committee or an insurer, ask and we will put them in writing.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We rely on the following service providers, each of which processes data only on our instructions:
- Resend — delivers the notification emails our contact and demo request forms generate, and therefore receives your name, email address, and the content of your message
- Umami Cloud — cookieless website analytics; receives aggregated page view data and no personally identifiable information
- Railway — hosts this website and its database
We may also disclose data to law enforcement where applicable law requires it, and to business partners where you have given explicit consent.
Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use this website — which pages they read, how far they scroll, where they click — through heatmaps and session replays. As you browse, Clarity collects those interactions together with details of your device and browser and your IP address, from which Microsoft estimates your location. Anything typed into our contact and demo forms is masked in your browser and never sent.
This means third parties such as Microsoft may collect personal data from visitors to this website. Microsoft is not one of the service providers listed above: it collects this data as an independent controller, and Microsoft collects or receives personal data through Clarity to provide its services, including Microsoft Advertising. How Microsoft uses it is set out in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Microsoft keeps session recordings for 30 days. After that it keeps the greater of 1% of each day’s recordings or ten of them — so on a quiet day, every one — plus any we mark as favourites, for up to nine months, and heatmap data for up to nine months as well. Microsoft gives us no way to delete one visitor’s recordings short of deleting all of them.
Your choices. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load Clarity at all. You can also turn it off in this browser with the switch below, which stops recording straight away; Safari and other WebKit browsers forget that choice after seven days without a visit, so Global Privacy Control is the lasting option there. Blocking cookies and scripts from clarity.ms works too. We do not load Clarity on pages written for younger readers, and this website is not directed at children under 13.
5. Data Retention
Contact form submissions and demo requests are kept for up to 24 months from the date you send them, so that we can respond to your enquiry and maintain a record of our correspondence. After that they are deleted.
Platform account data is retained for as long as your club's account is active, and for a limited period afterwards where we are required to keep records. You may request deletion of the data we hold about you at any time by emailing privacy@gliderops.com, and we will action it within 30 days. That cannot reach Clarity recordings, which expire on the schedule in section 4: use the switch there to stop further recording, and ask Microsoft about the data it controls, as the Microsoft Privacy Statement explains.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may also opt out of marketing communications at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@gliderops.com.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
